After spending countless hours sanding my father's candleholders, I knew these forms by heart long before I ever turned one myself. These are mine — shaped on the lathe from walnut and cherry, and finished in the same tradition he established: lead weighted for a solid, satisfying heft, and felted on the bottom to protect any surface they rest on.
The walnut runs deep and dark, with that rich, chocolatey grain that catches the light just right. The cherry glows warm and rosy, mellowing beautifully over time.
