Rude Osolnik | Osolnik Originals
The official home of Rude Osolnik's woodturned art and enduring legacy
Welcome — and thank you for finding us.
This site is the official online home of Rude Osolnik (1915–2001), one of America's most beloved studio craftsmen and a pioneer of the American woodturning movement. His work — elegant, warm, and deeply human — has graced museum collections, craft exhibitions, and family tables for decades.
We're building this gallery and welcome your thoughts and ideas as we build. We have a few items at present for sale on the galley /shop sections and will be adding more as we proceed to include other artists and craftspeople.
A site in progress — by design.
What you see today is just the beginning. We're adding pieces, exhibitions, and stories on an ongoing basis — because a legacy this rich deserves to be shared thoughtfully, not rushed.
Expect new rooms to open regularly:
- Osolnik Originals — authenticated works available for purchase
- Life's Work — a curated retrospective of his most significant pieces
- Exhibitions & News — rotating features, events, and collaborations
- The Craft — stories behind the wood, the lathe, and the man
Come back often.
Bookmark this page. Sign up for updates. Each visit will bring something new — a newly listed piece, a recovered photograph, a story worth telling.
This is a living archive. It grows as we go.
