Benchmark  Gallery

Rude & Daphne opened the Benchmark Gallery in 1972. Daphne ran it until her passing in 1988.  The majority of  artists and craftsman's work  carried in the store were produced by the SHHG members who Rude & Daphne met and became friends with over time.

Edsel Martin (carver & dulcimer artist) , Fannie Mennen ( prints) , Lynn Gaut (potter), James Robert Foose (watercolors), Charles Counts (potter), Lee Magdanz (potter), Paul Hudgins (potter). Phillip Brown (woodcarver) to mention a few along with some of their work.

Welcome to the online store of the Osolnik family, carrying forward the legacy of The Benchmark Gallery — the celebrated craft gallery owned and operated by the Osolniks in Berea, Kentucky from 1972 to 1988.

Berea has long been a center of American craft, and The Benchmark Gallery was at the heart of that tradition for nearly two decades. This store honors that history by bringing exceptional handcrafted works to collectors near and far.
