About Us - Rude Osolnik & Osolnik Originals
Osolnik Originals exists to honor and preserve the legacy of Rude Osolnik (1915–2001) — one of America's most celebrated woodturners and a pioneering figure in the American craft movement.
The story of Osolnik Originals began in 1952, when Rude and Daphne were recognized by Hedrich-Blessing's inaugural project honoring emerging artists and craftsmen. Their bowls were selected as Christmas gifts for Hedrich-Blessing's clients — an early affirmation of Rude's extraordinary gift and the enduring appeal of his work.
This site is maintained by his family as a trusted source for authentic Rude Osolnik pieces, offering collectors and admirers the opportunity to acquire works directly from the family's personal collection. Many pieces include photographs of signed areas, which aid in both authentication and dating.
